The Facility

Wildsong Ranch is a big facilitiy located on the South Hoof Peninsula, with the main buildings located on the west part of the peninsula.
We have several different stables, including a community herd stable with access to a 40 acre meadow for both stallions, as well as mares and geldings together, but also offer an option to stall your horse in a box with paddock access. Boarders and Staff have separate stables, mares with foals are stalled far away from the stallions to ensure safety and peace for the horses.

The Main Building
When you arrive on the peninsula via ferry and drive up the way, you'll find our main building on the right, the parking lots for your cars and trailers on the left.
Our main building includes the reception where you have to sign up upon entering our ranch, a cozy dining area with a community kitchen, a library or study room, a lounge, a hall of fame and the staffs bedrooms. Located behind the main buildings are the boarders dorms which each hold upon 5 boarders, two double rooms and one single room. |
The Stables
Here at Wildsong Ranch we have two types of stables, single stalls with a big paddock and one with a community herd.
The stables are separated into a Stallion stable at the one end of the property and a mixed stable consisting of Mares and Geldings on the other end. Community herds have access to the pasture from June to November, the single stall stable from June to November from 7am to 7pm. |
Showgrounds Arena
Our brand new arena, located in the showgrounds at Wildsong Ranch measures 250' x 150' and offeres two holding pens at one end, a third holding pen at the other as well as a roping chute. The arena can be split in half by metal gates for i.e. cattle work.
Several training objects such as poles or trail obstacles are readily available, as well as a surround sound system, TV-screens, PA system and vet booth. |
All-Around Hall
Our freshly constructed all-around hall measures 100' X 200' and is used for any training and our upcoming competitions.
Right at the entrance you'll find a sortiment of training equipment, containing barrels, poles for bending and groundwork, as well as smaller jumps. The sand is dragged each day at 6am and 4pm to assure you your best training experience! |
Outdoor Riding Arena
Our new outdoor riding arena measures 66' X 197' and is used for any training, free lunging or simply sunbathing.
You can use the equipment from our riding hall as well up h ere, but we also have a couple of wooden poles laying next to the entrance for spontaneous pole work. The sand is dragged each day at 6am and 4pm to assure you your best training experience! |
Roofed Outdoor Arena
This outdoor hall measures 100' X 200' and is used for any training and our upcoming competitions.

Beachside Arena
Our beautiful new arena by the beach, measuring 100' X 200' can be used for any training and our upcoming competitions..

Lunging Hall
We also offer access to a brand new lunging hall, measuring 25m in diameter. It has a couple of poles and lunging whips laying nearby.

Roundpens
We have two round pens at the facility, one measuring 18m in diameter, the other 25m. Both are fenced with 2m high metallic panels. Each has a couple of poles and lunging whips laying nearby.

Outdoor Trail Area
This trail arena is freshly constructed right outside of the reining arena and is available for every boarder and working student.
It contains nine obstacles and a trench you can use to get your horse trained for trails or to solidify your horses basics and confidence. All obstacles are made out of durable wood and are continuously checked for any damage and restored if necessary. The obstacle course is available all year round and can be led or ridden. |
Hydrotheraphy & Horse Walker
This Horse Walker can be used in several different ways! Let it be simply warming up your horse with no water in it, to observing a movement pattern or theraphy after an injury!
The ramp for your horses is on the right. The whole walker is built into the ground to enable a clear view of the horses movement during theraphy. The water is filtered after each use and reused for the next filling. |
Pastures
Trails
The peninsula offers many different trails, from coast trails, to across the island and beach rides.
Wildsong Stables offers three guided trails, a small, 1 hour long around the pastures, a big south hoof round around the cliffs of the island around 2-3 hours long and a beach ride with swimming in the summer, 2-3 hours long as well. |
